Eclipsing from a hospital room

I must begin by saying, I’m not sure how professional this Blog will be. Honestly, I am pretty beaten up right now, both physically and mentally. I know some readers will be able to relate, joining from your own path of WTH just happened or is happening to me. I predict misspellings, sentence structure malfunctions and poorly crafted paragraphs. It will also be raw, emotional, embarrassing and authentic. Before I share my most recent WTH moment, I need to do a short rundown of medical maladies to help put everything in context. I am a twenty plus year varsity level Crohn’s disease sufferer with multiple abdominal surgeries and an invisible amputation with my large intestine/colon long ago removed. I am also a stage 3 rectal cancer fighter so when both issues join forces it’s a pretty formidable WTH tag team duo.

Cue the last few days. A highly unpleasant experience happens when my remaining small intestine kinks or twists. If you can visualize twisting a long balloon used to make happy smiley balloon animals for kids. Just take out any happy, smiley, enjoyment of any kind and instead insert extreme pain and discomfort. Add to this gala, if your waste can’t go out its normal path, say, because of a twisted intestine, guess what? It goes back up. Yes, I can actually tell you what shit tastes like. Spoiler alert, it ain’t great. Extremely unpleasant and embarrassing but until now these episodes haven’t been life threatening. I decided to up the WTH and make this recent episode a little dicier than all…
